How to Create a Market ID on Solana

Operation link: Create OpenBook Market ID

Before listing a token market on Raydium-AMM, an OpenBook Market ID must be created. However, the official Raydium method costs 3-4 SOL, making it costly for those issuing tokens on Solana. With DogTools, you can create a market ID for as low as 0.34 SOL.

1

Select the trading pair

Select the Trading Pair for which you want to create the OpenBook Market ID.

2

Set the Minimum Order Size and Minimum Price Tick

(default values are recommended unless specific requirements exist).

The minimum order size and tick size can be configured based on token supply. Below are some suggested values.

3

Choose OpenBook Market ID Configuration

Simply select the configuration price, and all other parameters will be automatically filled based on the selected price.

Creating an OpenBook Market at 1/5th of the normal cost is an attractive option. However, consider potential risks:

  • If your project is a long-term one with high trading volume, it is not recommended to save 3 SOL.

  • If you are launching a short-term meme project with a market cap below $1 million, or just performing test operations, then a low-cost solution is completely viable.

OpenBook Market ID Creation Transaction Process

  • When the task starts, a log window will appear to update progress in real-time.

  • Two signatures are required to complete the market creation:

    1. Generate market information

    2. Create the market

If any issue arises during the process, we will clearly indicate the problem. No fees will be charged for failed transactions.
